So my mom is totally into knitting and has been making hats for a hospital in Fargo, ND. I told her about the craft fair and she totally went crazy making things for it. Here are her booties and hats, including some dishcloths.

So I don't know how to catch everyone up on what I have been up to. I guess I have been getting ready for the craft show I'm participating in this weekend. It took be Forever to figure out what to do for the show and how to make my stuff sellable. So here are a few pictures of what I've been doing. I've been making these cool baskets. It takes about 2 and a little extra skeins for the large and 1 and 1/4 skeins for the small ones. Let me know if you want the pattern and I can connect you to the true designer. I've also been making some of the hats that I posted earlier.

I thought I would show you what I have been up to the last couple days. I've been pretty busy with house selling stuff, we just got a new deck, that I haven't had much time to do much crochet. I wanted to make a runner that would look rich and was easy to make, so this is the start. I've put about 3 skeins of yarn into it so far. I think I have at least 2 more to go.

So I need to apologize for the quality of these pictures. I had to take them on my old camera because we have to rent our lenses for the Canon 5D and I didn't have one available for these pictures. I wanted to show you the other baby cacoons that I put together this summer. The one on top is a solid green baby yarn with yellow border. The second one is going to be a baby shower gift for a friend of mine that's due in October. For this one I took the green and yellow and changed the color with each row. I think it looks pretty good!

This is the one I made for myself. It's the same brand of yarn but in Heather Grey. I might have to make one for each day of the week.

I wasn't sure which order to put these pictures in. I made this beanie for my friend, Mary, to see how it would look on another person. This was super easy to make, but I kind of got sick of the puff stiches after a while. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in the color Cypress.
I guess I should warn you of my obsession with owls. They will be appearing often for sure. This is Jerome Vortex. My husband and I picked him up in Arizona and he's kind of our mascot. I put him in the baby cocoon I crocheted to show you the size of the piece. The main part is grey and white with a dark grey border. The same is used for the beret. What do you think?
So I haven't written since my first blog. Things have been pretty crazy. My parents came in from Phoenix for a week and we had a couple friends over for a weekend, plus we've been doing some work on the house so we can put it on the market in September. I thought I would start by putting up some pictures of the items I've been working on this year. Enjoy!
